CounterKulture Presents: A Tribute to MTV (Unplugged)

Come for the nostalgia, stay for the music. There was a time when music wasn't just something we listened to. It was something we lived. A time when MTV brought us closer to the artists we loved, and Unplugged stripped away the spectacle to reveal something beautifully raw — the songs, the stories, the imperfections, and the souls behind them. From the haunting intimacy of Nirvana and Alice in Chains to the timeless brilliance of Pearl Jam, Eric Clapton, and countless others, MTV Unplugged gave us performances that became part of our collective memory. This November, CounterKulture invites you to revisit that magic. Join us for an intimate evening celebrating the music that shaped a generation, featuring acoustic interpretations of some of the most iconic performances from the MTV Unplugged era. Taking the stage: Tom Borah , opening the evening with an hour of acoustic classics. Gautam Krishnan & Ajay Arumugam , following with their own interpretations of Unplugged favourites. The Finale: All four musicians come together for a three-song collaborative jam to close the evening. Hosted by Sadhana Subramanian , who will guide us through the music, memories and stories that made this era unforgettable. No elaborate production. No spectacle. Just familiar songs, acoustic guitars, heartfelt performances and a room full of people who believe music is best experienced together.
